Why can't I find or install the Altitude+ app on my new Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K?

Wed, 4 Mar, 2026 at 12:28 PM

If you recently purchased a newer Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K (such as the "Select" model), you may notice that the Altitude+ app does not appear in the App Store, or it will not allow you to download and install it.

This is because Amazon's newest Fire TV devices operate on a brand-new operating system called VegaOS. Currently, the Altitude+ app is not compatible with VegaOS. Our development team is aware of Amazon's platform change and is evaluating the addition of this new operating system in the future.

In the meantime, your Altitude+ subscription remains fully active. You can continue to stream content by logging into your account on any of our other supported devices, such as a computer web browser, mobile phones, tablets, Roku, Apple TV, or older generations of the Amazon Fire TV.
