Altitude+ offers two distinct streaming services: Altitude+ and AltitudeNOW. Understanding the differences between these two platforms is crucial for fans looking to access Altitude+ content.
AltitudeNOW is currently a TV Everywhere (TVE) streaming service. This means that it is primarily designed for in-market fans who already subscribe to Altitude+ through a traditional TV provider. To access AltitudeNOW, users must log in using their existing TV provider credentials. It serves as a complementary service to a cable or satellite subscription, allowing subscribers to watch Altitude+ content on various devices.
Altitude+ represents the future of Altitude+ streaming and is set to eventually replace AltitudeNOW. This new service offers a more flexible and comprehensive viewing experience. Altitude+ will provide two main access methods:
Paid Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Subscriptions: This option allows fans to subscribe directly to Altitude+ content without the need for a traditional TV provider. This is particularly beneficial for cord-cutters or those who do not wish to subscribe to a larger TV package.
TV Everywhere (TVE) Access: Similar to AltitudeNOW, Altitude+ will also continue to offer TVE access for users who subscribe through a participating TV provider. This ensures a smooth transition for existing AltitudeNOW users and maintains continuity for traditional TV subscribers.
In essence, while AltitudeNOW is exclusively a TVE service tied to existing TV subscriptions, Altitude+ is evolving to offer both standalone paid subscriptions and TVE access, providing greater choice and accessibility for fans of Altitude+.
