Apple devices use GPS, but you must allow "Precise" access.
Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
Scroll down and tap Altitude+.
Set "Allow Location Access" to While Using the App.
Ensure the "Precise Location" toggle is turned ON (Green).
